Reviews:

Exactly what I needed! by Carleen Meckenstock of Fort Bragg, NC

Pros:Attractive Design
Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley
Describe Yourself:League Bowler
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Wanted a ball that didn’t hook and needed to drop a pound in weight. This ball does exactly what the reviews said it would; it goes long, snaps at the back end with great pin action. The sling shot cut my corner pin spares in half. I love it!

US Act Galaxy Regulus Rosso – Overseas Release – bowlingball.com Exclusive

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Brunswick Bowling Balls. The Galaxy Regulus Rosso is clean through the heads, saving more reaction for the back-ends. This provides improved hitting power and back-end recovery while reducing sensitivity to breakdown in front-end lane conditions and lane surfaces that are less than ideal.

The Ultra-Low RG core used in the Galaxy Regulus Rosso provides strong mid-lane recovery and improved traction in the oil with a smoother, more effective reaction off the dry. This combinationreduces over/underreaction by making the wet play less wet and dry, less dry, effectively allowing the bowler to create more area.

The Galaxy Regulus Rosso is powerful and continuous from the breakpoint through the pins. Improved traction in the oil allows the Galaxy Regulus to bit through the carry down and aggressively change direction without breaking loose from the lane. The strong rolling characteristics of the Ultra-Low RG core make this move more readable allowing you to open up the lane.

The Galaxy Regulus Rosso creates lower, more active pin action for improved carry.

Kick Zone – Overseas Release – bowlingball.com Exclusive

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Brunswick Bowling Balls. Brunswick’s International Series has been developed specifically for Asian markets using core and coverstock systems that provide Asian bowlers with a range of equipment that matches up to typical Asian lane conditions. The looks of International Series balls are also adapted to Asian tastes making the International Series completely customized for Asian bowlers. Available only through International Distributors.

Reaction Characteristics

The Kick Zone combines a New High Gloss PK Traction – 7 coverstock with a Proven High RG core system to produce a ball reaction that will give the bowler Easy Skid, a Fast Responding Mid lane and Strong Continuous Backend reaction on Medium oil lane conditions. The PK Traction coverstock although polished will still have a strong grip on lane even on the hardest of lane surfaces and the thickest of oils.

Response Time

To understand the International Zone Coverstocks better we will be using a 1-10 number scale system after the coverstock name to describe Response Time. Response Time is how fast or slow the ball changes direction when it encounters friction. The Higher the number the Faster the ball will change direction similar to Skid/Snap. The Lower the number the Slower the ball will change direction similar to Smooth Arc.

Utility

Out of the box: With its high gloss surface most players will find the Kick Zone matches up well on medium-oily to medium-dry lane conditions.

When dulled: The hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and for smoothing over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions.

Groove Dark Blue/Light Blue Polished

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Brunswick Bowling Balls. Ready to start hooking the ball?

Move up from Plastic to Urethane coverstock technology.

Compared to Plastic, Urethane coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil. Urethane coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential and Urethane coverstocks are more durable than either Plastic or Reactive coverstocks.

The Groove Urethane Blue Polished outperforms and under prices the competition and is recommended for medium to drier lane conditions.

Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you’re ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove.
